Built in the heart of the medieval district of Figeac, this hotel, which was the residence of the royal watchmen for four centuries, invites you to an amazing experience in the Lot and Célé valleys. Heir to a memorable past, the Mercure Hotel Viguier du Roy Figeac is hidden behind high walls in the heart of the city. Unsuspected, the 5,000 m² of this emblematic site of the city of Art and History that is Figeac unveil its terraces, its roofs, its staircases and footbridges, its nooks and crannies, and its swimming pool, all of which will enchant you.
The hotel, designed like the warm residences of yesteryear, combines respect and audacity, generosity and hospitality, thanks to an inspired renovation. The decorator Chantal Peyrat has focused on the structures and patina of the centuries. She has rewritten and given rhythm to the place in a contemporary and lively way, inspired by one of Figeac's most illustrious figures: the Egyptologist Jean-François Champollion. The design uses the graphic codes of writing, borrowing from hieroglyphics and digital technology to dress the place and give it color, vibrancy and modernity.
All the rooms are personalized and bear memorable names such as those of Eleanor of Aquitaine or Bernard de Savignac, the first Viguier du Roy. The spaces are both intimate and authentic, flooded with a warm soul where you feel at home. They offer large volumes, beautiful openings where the light of the south penetrates, and are all equipped with a spacious bathroom. The family rooms can be adapted to become a real living space, giving you a feeling of sharing and intimacy.
The hotel has PMR rooms, wheelchair access, disabled access in the common areas and equipped bathrooms.
